Founded in 1998 by Ms. Kathy Shi, Beanstalk Education Group is regarded as one of the leading international bilingual education pioneers in China. It is committed to providing young learners with a well-rounded international education that integrates Chinese and Western educational philosophies, cultural elements, and best practices. With accreditation by internationally acknowledged authorities including the International Baccalaureate (IB), the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the British Council, Beanstalk is now helping tens of thousands of Chinese and international students to reach for their dreams with more than 20 campuses across China, with its 15-years education system covering from kindergarten to senior high school.  BIBS is one of the few authorized test centers of TOEFL and SAT in China. Chinese and international BIBS students of all campuses are eligible to take these tests at BIBS. Beanstalk strives to foster our students with multiple language capabilities, multi-culture vision and global mindset, and encourages the young future forces to adventure, both going abroad and returning to their homeland China.

20 years ago, a mother, wishing to give her own child the best education, founded an international kindergarten with less than 10 students in the beginning. As time goes by, a heart-filled, personalized education developed into a true international education with Love, Care and Support.

In the 1990s when Beanstalk started exploring its unique education model with integrated Chinese and western education concepts, bilingual education was still a very sophisticated idea. Being a mother and the founder of Beanstalk, Ms. Shi had the foresight and sagacity to make Beanstalk the first Chinese international bilingual education brand in China.

“To be the most international Chinese school” has been the core value since day one. Beanstalk education combined the essence of both Chinese and western education, and offered its students the most suitable education services.

As of today, BIBS has become an education group with over 20 campuses in China, covering kindergarten to MSHS. From a small international kindergarten to a large education group, Beanstalk started from its initial stage to a high-speed expansion, from Beijing to Kunming, Chengdu to Nanjing, Haikou to Weihai…

Being the first BIBSer, Ms. Shi once said ‘I didn’t make big plans from day one. It’s the everyday hard work that brought us where are now.’

Beanstalk, by its name, a bean and the stalk.

In fairytale Jack and Beanstalk, overnight the bean grew into the sky. Jack woke up, and left his mother a note that he was climbing up the stalk for his fortune.

Beanstalk education took its time to grow tall and strong, while all the little Jacks climbed to the sky and reached their dreams.
